@Bernadette Abraham yes, the nurse mentioned women routinely have this test carried out during pregnancy.
I read the ingredients list and it contained a number artificial preservatives and additives. Stomach felt awful during the two hours. took the slippery elm, marshmallow root and DGL powder concoction immediately afterwards.
That’s good to know that you can drink your own glucose drink if allowed. I’ll bear that in mind.

Hi B.
Last Friday, I underwent a blood withdrawal for full thyroid panel and blood sugar regulation as well. The Glucose Tolerance Test wasn’t pleasant. I had to drink 250ml of extremely sweet drink. Awaiting results.
The endocrinologist has ordered a Genova adrenal stress Test (CAR) and metabolomix plus test.

@Yasmin atassi
Please take a look at this website. There are manufacturers who might be within your budget as well and depending on your room size may be adequate.
The only thing is, if the manufacturer or distributer available in the UAE.

Hi, I’ve replied to your question elsewhere and just seen this afterwards. I don’t know of other blue air filters are noisy or not, but the large air filter you see in my other post isn’t noisy at all. The only time it becomes loud is during cooking or other pollutants it picks up. This is natural.
Feel free to email david@breathingspace.co.uk. I was given his contact name for guidance as well as B. course. He’ll direct you based on your requirements. His company sell different makes of air filters and will give you unbiased guidance. I

@samar gattas hello. I’m not their employee but a mere customer. I’m very happy with mine. If you’re Dubai based, you could contact the firm to see if they sell directly to customers or they will put you in touch with a reseller. The air filters you see above are in my home.

MemberMarch 7, 2024 at 11:35 am in reply to: B12 not taken seriously in the UK by conventional medicineHi Daniel, do you mean the title “B12 not taken seriously in the UK by conventional medicine.” I wrote this. I am going by own experience with my GP. I have been diagnosed with pernaecious anaemia and a consultant I met since gastric pariteal antibody is positive and I have focal atrophic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia, treatment is ongoing B12 injections alternate days, monitoring ferratin, folic acid and vitamin D.
My GP is against me having alternate days injection and asked me to see the gastroenterologist first. I am meeting him in 11th March and sent both the GP and gastroenterologist th clinic letter from the consultant to discuss further.
Also, there is lifecode genetics test related methylation which I will do as well. I have received the kit. Will keep you posted.

@Bernadette Abraham I will stop the B Complex and self inject B12.
Sure thing, I will fast and go first thing in the morning to have the blood test.
Thank you for the video link.

Sorry, I was meant to say fasting insulin and reverse T3 are irrelevant or that hospitals don’t tend to measure it. This consultant apparently will as he’s a traditional endocrinologist with functional medicine mindset.
-
@Daniel Schepers hello. I don’t take any thyroid medications.
So, fasting insulin and fT3 are irrelevant?
My appointment is at midday. I will have probably eaten before my appointment or should I fast. I don’t tend to eat until around 1.00pm anyway.
I’m not sure if he’ll carry out a blood withdrawal on the same day.
-
@Bernadette Abraham Thank you B. I sent him your thyroid markers list.
TSHTotal T4Total 3Free T4Free T3 Reverse T3 (rT3) T3uFree T4 indexTPO and Anti-TG antibod
This was the reply from the secretary
Dr Lulsegged has advised all of the Bloods are covered apart from T3u and free t4 index which are not over and above mandatory from the others.
I will watch the blood sugar video shortly.
Thanks B. -
@Daniel Schepers I was on a two hour drive from London to Cambridge which was exhausting for me as I struggle to drive long distance in my current situation. It use to be a breeze in the past. Maybe, this could have caused an even lower T3 reading. I don’t know why the consultant didn’t do the other markers despite requesting them. His clinic letter says to meet an endocrinologist. Yes, there has been more stress both mentally and physically as well.
I wasn’t feeling sick but was tried from the drive due to traffic along the way, worrying about not being late and then finding a place to park. Basically, trivial things. Thank you for the movie recommendation. Daniel, I am beginning to realise how thyroid can be so critical in other areas of my well being.

@Daniel Schepers thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was thinking down the line of maybe the slow gut motility which I know I have where TUDCA may help. There are so many factors with me also which could could be the cause.
