MemberFebruary 3, 2023 at 10:55 am in reply to: Advanced Intestinal Permeability Assessment Good morning. I did have high histamine foods which I didn’t realise at the time. I think I listed what I ate in this thread. I didn’t realise egg whites are histamine liberators. I was having a semi boiled egg on a daily basis for the past few months as well.
So, if I more producing DAO. Does this mean, I don’t need a DAO supplement?
I will try either NATURDAO or my consultants pharmaceutical medicine just to give me symptom relief.
My Heidelberg test is on Tuesday 7th February. I’ve been taking slippery elm and marshmallow root powder sling with DGL and L glutamine.
I’ll go back on the femotidine after the test.

MemberFebruary 1, 2023 at 11:24 pm in reply to: Advanced Intestinal Permeability AssessmentI came across this vegeterian of DAO today. Would like your thoughts.
NATURDAO – 1.000.000 HDU – Vegetable DAO – DAO Deficiency – Histamine Intolerance – Diamine Oxidase https://amzn.eu/d/eg8QMUF
I take the following vitamin c for a few months on and off. 1/3 to 1/2 tsp. Is this OK?
https://www.biocare.co.uk/vitamin-c-powder
Is curcumin tumeric? I can’t tolerate tumeric. I’ll retry ginger as tea. I use to add julienne sliced ginger to my porridge.
Oh, I’m producing more enzymes. This is good news. Which marker(s) is this?
Tomorrow, I’ll be having a blood withdrawal for blood gastrin check and full panel check. Coincidentally, I’ve ended up with two blood withdrawals this week.
For the gastrin check I’ve had to come off femotidine for three days. To compensate, I’ve been taking slippery elm, DGL and Marshmallow Root Powder. I’ve been OK. I’m thinking of carrying on to provide a stool test for h. Pylori. The problem is I’m constipated and can’t go for up to 5 days. I try the I love u massage.and drink plenty of water.
The other reason why I want to carry on is to repeat the Heidelberg test as I’ve been in touch with the Dr. in the US from heidelbergtest.com. The previous heidelberg test is from 2019.

good morning
Yes, I am surprised about my GP result as nothing appears to be going right my way at the moment. I still feel the same.
You’ll receive updated blood panel from functional dx very soon as I did the blood withdrawal last Thursday I think.
Separate to this, should I repeat the OATS test?
Regarding ERMI test, this is the WhatsApp response I’ve just received from Andy Habbershaw :-
Ermi is a dna test for mould species from which a score can be calculated. It does not test for mycotoxins – rather it tests for toxigenic species. If you want to know what mycotoxind are present you need an environment mycotoxin test. We can do both testz

MemberJanuary 31, 2023 at 10:28 pm in reply to: Advanced Intestinal Permeability Assessment hi.
I haven’t uploaded the foods yet.
My first NEO session with Ashley was on February 2nd, but I’ve had to reschedule it to 8th February as I have a hospital appointment for a full blood panel including blood gastrin level and some other specific markers related to my gut which I’m not hundred percent sure about. My GI consultant requested it when I met him yesterday. He’s also asked my GP to prescribe these medicines specific to histamine. Please see below. I am concerned about montelukast. When I google this, there is talks of this medicine being used by asthmatic patients. I also have to take cetirizine. Taking both will bring the histamine down apparently. Is there an alternative route rather than taking these medicines?
“I suspect that is high histamine levels are contributing to some of his symptoms after he eats. In addition to the famotidine I would like to take cetirizine half an hour before every meal and also add in 10 mg of montelukast in the evenings I would be grateful if you could prescribe all of these for him. I will see him back in clinic with the above results to hand and feedback thereafter.”
I will check whether they are familiar with ERMI test.
This is the guy who owns Action Dry.

MemberJanuary 30, 2023 at 11:21 am in reply to: Advanced Intestinal Permeability Assessment Burning sensation is continuous post food. It could be the very tiny amount of almond butter which is very sensitive to my system due to the histamine intolerance. I didn’t realise almonds are high in histamine.
My abdomen bloats and is hard as well when gastritis flairs up. The burning sensation happens within 1/2 and stays. When I try to calm it, with slippery elm, DGL or marshamllow, it worsens.
When I meet my Gastroenterologist today, I’ll ask to do a gastrin blood test of he can. I might be producing too much acid.

MemberJanuary 29, 2023 at 10:42 pm in reply to: Advanced Intestinal Permeability AssessmentHi and , I’m in touch with
actiondry.co.uk to contact me for mould inspection.Could I have an infection? H2 Blocker, femotidine isn’t helping. Today, I gave a blood withdrawal for the blood panels from functional DX and I’m also meeting my Gastroenterologist following my stomach emptying test on 18th January. I am burning up inside. I’ve been taking high dosage of the femotidine but no difference.
