My Endocrinologist would like to take rifaximin and neomycin, but I notice I have borderline methane SIBO.
As you know, I have gastroparesis and slow gut motility. I am hesitant about taking antibiotics as it’s borderline.

Hi, B & Daniel,
I’ve just received my GI MAP result . Please see attached file “Naveed Aslam 11.12.24 GI MAP.”
I’ve attached previous two for comparison; “Naveed Aslam 25.6.24 GI MAP” and “Naveed Aslam 24.1.24 GI MAP.”
It appears all my markers have worsened in the latest GI MAP.

Thank you for your detailed response.
How can I improve on my ferritin level without having to go through another IV infusion if the doctor suggests. I am worried about taking another supplement with my stomach issues, especially gastroparesis which is very debilitating. Gastroparesis is affecting the lining.

Hi B.
I self inject B12 and noticed my ferritin drop from 555 (March 2023) following an IV iron infusion to 68ug/L (5th November 2024) blood test.
Could B12 be causing this? I also take seeking b minus and folinic acid.
To be honest, I don’t have iron bases foods, apart from chicken liver and this isn’t regularly.
My b12 reading was 6000.
