Test Sex Hormones
ACTION STEPS:
1. Although functional testing is costly, a comprehensive look at hormone metabolites in urine sampling using the DUTCH test (Complete or Plus) can be a worthy investment since it can provide an overview of all sex hormones, including cortisol, the cortisol rhythm, melatonin and some organic acid markers of key nutrients such as vitamin B6 needed for the conversion from serotonin to melatonin.

2. In addition to functional hormone testing, it’s also a good idea to get a baseline set of blood tests for sex hormones. This is useful for re-testing purposes every few months since it’s easier and more cost-effective. These include Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, and DHEAs.
Note: for cycling women, please ensure you test between days 19-21 of your cycle to get accurate readings of progesterone (in urine & blood testing). Simply add 5 days after ovulation. If you’re unsure of your cycle, an ovulation kit can help.
3. Once you receive your results, please upload them into the private community forum for further guidance.
