    Seasonal allergies and gut health

This post is about my son, who’s 16 now.

When he was a child he frequently got infections in his tonsils and had enlarged adenoids as well which according to the ENT doctors was causing mouth breathing and obstructive sleep apnea in him. When he was 6 years old on doctors recommendation we had surgery to get both removed. Around a year and a…

    Gut/liver

    Hello Bernadette

Hope you are doing well. This time round I’ve come here to get a 2nd opinion from you.

    H. Pylori and baking soda

    Hello Bernadette and Daniel

Sharing the ingredients of a local supplement that I found in my country.

I understand using them would wipe out all the beneficial bacteria as well. And there is a chance if we don’t support the root cause of why h pylori was there in the first place there’s a chance it might come back (betaine HCl supplements to keep stomach acid level…

    Xylitol in probiotics

I noticed xylitol as one of the ingredients in my kids probiotics. The brand mentions it is used to feed the good bacteria.

But Google shows it can harm the gut in the longer run. If that’s the case should I be looking for another probiotic? I bought this one because it had 8 different strands of probiotics in it
