@Bernadette_Abraham However, there was something a bit confusing. Although they said the hemochromatosis test result was negative, there was one more test had come positive. I have attached here the MTHFR C677T test results. The doc had mentioned this was for blood clotting tho. We were a bit confused at the time to be honest. Would you mind clarifying this for us??

As always, very helpful information and guidance. Thanks Bernadette, I will for sure look into this alternative option

I actually forgot to mention that I am also due for my yearly mammogram check up since I am over 40. I haven’t had a chance to explore the other options over the years like thermography along with Dutch test I think recommended. What is your view on this alternative route which is less invasive; and if so, is it available in dubai? Thanks again -
Thanks a lot Daniel. This is a great summary and gives an idea about what to focus on.
-
thanks a lot Bernadette. Whilst we are on the topic, I was actually going to ask if we can have a ‘save’ function in the forum? It would be really helpful to save some of the discussions for our future reference
-
Thanks for the fast response Bernadette. I am still trying to learn how to navigate within the B Better database, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The link is very helpful; I would probably ask the doctor to run tests from a few different sections of this list. I will share the results for your interpretation when available.
Wishing you a lovely week ahead -
Such a relief that my precious pressure cooker is still a thumbs up
Ok noted. I will look for a steel container for the instant pot. Thanks so much Bernedette -
thanks for the great topic. If you don’t mind, I will jump in here and ask a question to
too. I have recently bought an instant pot mainly for the pressure cooker function which also came with air fryer option. It is unfortunately not steel container for the air fryer but I am planning to use parchment paper for
that. Will this be sufficient? Or shall I look for steel containers compatible with instant pot?But re your notes for ‘the longer cooking times at lower temp”; this is the complete opposite of what pressure cookers do. I had read in so many reports before that pressure cookers are actually quite a healthy way cooking as the cooking time is short so nutritions are preserved. And I am a huge fan of them due to their practicality as well.
that would be great if you can share your view on pressure cookers as well? Thanks -
It feels like survival every day against the big pharma! Ok fair enough, I will make my appointment and see what Dr.Suaad has to say. Thanks so much again Bernadette. I will keep you guys posted.
-
Also, I am so happy for you that you have found relief too. There is nothing scarier than loosing the ability to move of any body parts
-
Thanks so much for sharing your experience and the information about the prolotheraphy. It would have been a lot harder to access these alternative medicine options without your and Daniel’s help.
I believe it is worth having a consultation with Dr. Suaad soon. But when do you think it is the best time for me to consider prolotheraphy ? Shall I continue the physio a bit more and see how it progresses?
Also, curious to know where you did your MRI for our future use.
I studied landscape architecture, the disc bulging might have started back then by bending down continuously on the drawing boards
Many thanks again

@Bernadette_Abraham I have attached the fasting insulin result too. I understand the thyroid levels may not be at the optimum levels; however being a thyroid patient for 20 years, I am struggling to comprehend how that would lead to an extreme ferritin levels?
-
@Bernadette_Abraham Yes the genetic condition was tested and ruled out. Thyroid and sugar levels are normal.
It was diagnosed as non-alcoholic fatty liver.
I have attached here the results for HBA1C, thyroid and transferring ferritin levels.
