Hey B, honestly so many symptoms could be linked to perimenopause ie/ my anxiety, period no longer as regular and has just been 7 days late, brain fog… but I also know that my adrenals are taxed and have been for a while so my body could just be over running on survival and these could also be the effects of it. So the answer is I don’t know. And because my periods aren’t as regular I feel like maybe I do need to really address my stress levels first and take it from there. If those symptoms persists and when I retest my progesterone levels if they are still low then for sure looking into progesterone will be my priority but I am still unsure at this stage. I am 43 so I am in that age bracket but again should I jump onto progesterone now before dealing with stress?? Stress peaks quite high in the am until mid afternoon so there is definitely something there.

Hi B, Yes I will be taking them separately. The protein shake is not daily and I try to have my protein intake from my meals mainly and the collagen is more specific to my ankle cartilage injury. If you have any recommendations that would be awesome. I was looking into biotics optimal collagen.
Thank you Lana

Thank you Daniel for your response. And in your opinion what are the factors that need to be considered before taking HRT in this case if the homocysteine levels are in check?
As for her daughter, they were told that she is having more severe allergy symptoms due to the chloramine in the pool water and that when children do not shower prior to entering the pool, this can spread and increase and cause respiratory problems. Her daughter does suffer for allergies from a young age but it seems to be getting worse and coughing at night is disrupting her sleep.

Hi B,
okay thank you for this feedback and all the videos. So I aim to have at least 25-30g of protein per meal with a protein based snack and I take Tyrosine so it is interesting to see that I am not converting T4 to T3 as well. And wondering if this is related to stomach acid. I definitely eat too fast and dont allow time to enjoy my food – I try to be more mindful of this! would you recommend bitters or digestive enzymes?
As for Zinc the range is 70-114 so I am on the lower side. But do eat a lot of eggs.
I have not tested for vitamin A and have previously tested selenium which was on the higher end but worth retesting now as I use to supplement and have not stopped.
I will watch the videos and understand this better. With regards to the liver, what would be a good support at this stage without supplementing?
Thanks

Hey B,
Yes I will look into this. You mention 6 months, I can reintroduce it slowly after? would that not trigger the immune response again and increase the antibodies?
My results have come out, Zinc levels are 78.8 and my vitamin D 78. The others I have attached below,

Hey B
Thank you for the attachments – there is a lot I do in general to maintain a healthy lifestyle and I am very careful when it comes to processed foods. I have not removed gluten as I just feel very overwhelmed with the idea.
As for the blood tests, I just checked the liver panel was done in 2022 so I have just asked them to add my full liver panel and zinc to my blood test. I should get the results soon and I can send them over. My Zinc in 2022 was 67.8 9(on the lower level). I did discuss the T3 conversion with my doctor and he seemed happy with the level – he is a conventional doctor but is willing to adopt a more holistic point of view and is open for wider discussions so I can always bring this back up to him. Once I get my results i can upload them.
In terms of gut concerns, when I did the GI Map bacteroides did come up and I tried a treatment with metronizadole but I still tested positive. I am due to try a different course but I might wait until after xmas as it didnt feel too good the first time! I think I was traumatised by the cleanse lol

Hey B
Ok that’s interesting as i do have hashimoto’s and am taking thyroxine. I do test every 6 months and have a full thyroid check (just had one a few days ago actually) and my results have been stable for a while. As for the liver, I had a test done last year and it seemed within range too.
I am taking ashwagandha biogena and HPA select which has rhodiola for the stress control. Should I have a urine test done to check my metabolised cortisol? If the results are still low what would be the next step considering everything else is monitored?
Thanks

Hi B, these are some results of the dutch test which was done last year. The blood test and saliva test were done last month. When I had done the dutch test my progesterone was high and this blood test shows it quite low but because my periods are off at the moment (may be due to stress) I dont know if I tested correctly for my progesterone. Which is why I feel I need to address stress and testing my levels again.
I watched the videos – they were very useful thank you

Hey B,
Thanks for the response. This was really helpful. So I did run his antibodies too as I have Hashimoto’s and they came back normal. The multi vitamins he was taking do contain Biotin – He is due to have an other blood test in December to check his Vitamin D levels so do you think it may be worth redoing his full thyroid panel then as I have stopped those multi vitamins.
He isn’t the biggest eater so I never thought of checking for parasites but I think it may be worth doing this at this point. Are there any specific tests you would recommend I check for? His sisters levels are also above 3%
Thanks x Lana

Hi B, thank you for your response.
I ran these blood tests as a general check up – there were no real concerns and he has been well overall (he is turning 8 in January). I did notice his multi vitamins do contain vitamin B12 so it may be due to that. I have stopped them for now. He isnt the best eater in terms of variety but he does like his protein and peanut butter. He is quite thin and is listed as average on the growth chart.
