Mold in the AC drain
Hello @Bernadette_Abraham , we just discovered there’s mold around the AC drain and the suggestion by the company which found us was to use chemicals to disinfect it . I’m not familiar with the best mold removal practices but wanted to ask if you have any advise or view on their suggestion . Thank you

Hi @nikolovaart – can I ask which company ur using?
Usually what you see is the tip of the iceberg. It can be cleaned but the problem might come back. Is there high humidity in the bathroom?

@Bernadette_Abraham thank you! It was a general handyman services company which I called as there was water leaking through the bathroom ceiling . When they were repairing the AC drain where the water was coming from they discovered the mold . The bathroom is humid and I have placed a dehumidifier but my concern is that it was too late . If you can recommend a company that can help I’d appreciate it very much

@nikolovaart unfortunately, I cannot recommend any of these companies for proper mold inspection and remediation. The only mold remediator I can recommend is Omar from Smart Solutions.
