  Milk kefir grains

  Hi B, Daniel,

  Soon i am going to travel to my country.
  I am looking for suggestion to store milk kefir grains in my absence. Will freezing them will decrease their activity?

   you can store your kefir grains by placing them in a large amount of milk in your fridge for a month+. For longer storage (2 months+), I place them in a small glass jar filled with milk and freeze.

  Putting them in colder temperature will slow down/stop the fermentation process. When you return, you’ll need to discard the first batch of fermented milk.
